Course Change

While the recent warm/sunny weather has been nice, it has also been devastating for the snow pack on the west side of Grandeur.  Normally this would seem like a good thing, however, our permit actually requires that there to be snow on the west side given that it is a non-system trail.  As such, the west side will be eliminated from this year’s, meaning the event will be entirely on the Church Fork trail, a straight forward out-and-back to the summit of Grandeur from Church Fork.

Despite the changes I am certain we will still have a great event.  It will also be a safer and more manageable event for both the volunteers and participants as each “lap” will take far less time than before.  Additionally, the new numbers (distance and mileages) render easy math with each lap involving almost exactly 2,500′ of gain in ~10km.
